Red Hot chilli pepper (in brown bag) 5 x5

This is the the fourth painting of my pepper series. Learn to see with the eyes, not with the brain, blah, blah blah! Ha, not quite so esoteric. Simply, I didn t feel like painting a pepper but it was in the bag throughout the entire paint process.

Tube of Paint, Naples Yellow

I didn t plan on making this painting but was intrigued by the almost empty tube and the way someone twisted into the shape you see. I found the paint tube to be interesting in shape and character. I hope you enjoy the painting as much as I enjoyed painting it.

Bix 11 x 14 OIl

In this painting, I believe I captured the look and personality of Bix, an 11 month old lab puppy. He's a lean field dog with a lot of energy. I tried to show those aspects and attributes of his personality as well as his likeness.

When I met Bix, I was reminded of how slim my lab, Scubie was at one time. Lately, we refer to Scub as Lumpy, he s four years old now.
