MLK, 12 x 24 oils

Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity. Hate destroys a man's sense of values and his objectivity. It causes him to describe the beautiful as ugly and the ugly as beautiful, and to confuse the true with the false and the false with the true.
Martin Luther King Jr.

These are the words that inspired the MLK illustration. The painting was posted last year but I felt it was worth showing it again.

Francine 16 x 20 oils

Francine is a commissioned portrait, her husband, my colleague, hired me to paint her portrait as a gift.
Francine brings so much to the painting, she has nicely defined facial features, good structure and an intriguing look, which I believe comes through in the painting, as well as, her characteristic traits. The other element that is a plus, and adds to her look, is her dark hair, which acts as a solid framing device for her face........

.........And the portrait is accurate to her look!!!
